We finally tested Stout on Tuesday to see if he could hold it while we were at work all day. I mean, he is almost 5 months old. Up to this point either John or I had been going home at lunch to let him out (if only we could have taught Porter to do it...).
I was wanting to come home a little early anyway to make it easier to get to our herding lesson on time. So I prayed and went to lunch with my friends.
All afternoon I wondered if I had made some horrible mistake. What if he had peed in his crate? What if he was nervously trying to hold it in, wondering where I was? Or worse yet, what if he had pooped? What if instead of saving time by coming home early, I would be wasting it cleaning up a giant mess?
But he did it! And he did it again Wednesday. And he (hopefully) did it again today!
Our little puppy is growing up! *tear*

ReplyDeleteAww, he is growing up!!! It's comforting to know that they can hold it in for 8 hours, or so. Because of our schedules, it's just easier for me to go home for lunch because I may not be home until 7 and Matt never knows when he'll be home, so better safe than sorry. (Though some times they have to wait until someone gets home after 5.)
